Tuesday - Tornado Siren Testing

TUESDAY - TORNADO SIREN TESTING

Effective April 1st 2021, and ending Sept. 30th 2021, the tornado/severe weather warning sirens for Lynwood, will be sounded EVERY TUESDAY AT 10:30 a.m. during our tornado season.

This will be a change from the current procedure of testing only on the first Tuesday of the month. The new procedure is to test all warning devices and confirm they operate as designed during peak disaster times in accordance with FEMA and Illinois Emergency Management Agency guidelines.
